Initiative supports Emiratisation goals by helping UAE citizens secure private-sector jobs and assisting companies in attracting and retaining national talent
Dubai: More than 60,000 UAE citizens and 3,000 private-sector companies have benefited from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation's (MoHRE) career counselling programme, according to the ministry.
The programme supports Emirati job seekers and private-sector employees by enhancing their career prospects, developing their skills and helping them secure jobs that match their qualifications and specialisations.
It also assists companies in attracting, developing and retaining Emirati talent by supporting the creation of motivating work environments that enhance productivity and professional growth.
The programme provides career planning guidance, skills development opportunities aligned with labour market needs, job search support, interview preparation and assistance in identifying suitable career opportunities.
Farida Al Ali, Assistant Undersecretary of National Talents at MoHRE, said the programme is part of the ministry's strategy to provide a comprehensive support system for Emiratis throughout their professional careers and strengthen their participation in the labour market.
She said the initiative aligns with the UAE's objectives of building competitive national talent capable of contributing to sustainable economic development and supporting the goals of the UAE Strategy for Talent Attraction and Retention.
Al Ali highlighted the benefits for private-sector employers, noting that the programme helps companies improve retention rates among Emirati employees and provides access to aptitude assessments through the programme's dedicated platform.
She added that the programme will continue serving Emirati job seekers, private-sector employees and companies while being continuously updated to keep pace with labour market developments.
The programme offers both individual and group counselling sessions focused on personal and professional development, career planning, job stability, workplace integration, competency development, and time and stress management skills.
MoHRE said the initiative supports ongoing efforts to advance Emiratisation targets and strengthen the role of the private sector as a key partner in the employment and training of UAE nationals.
